GM is planning to offer a version of it's Chevrolet Impala with a special feature- the ability to switch between gasoline and natural gas. This #dual-fuel Impala will allow drivers to switch between gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG), based on which is cheapest or available at the time. The car will have one engine, and two fuel tanks on board.

Intending to attract more buyers to large cars, Chevrolet has done an extensive re-design of the Impala. By greatly improving the visual appeal inside and out, as well as enhancing the ride, Chevrolet is looking to grow its market with the existing retired population as well as the comfort-seeking executive. One of many big changes is the replacement of the familiar, yet aging, W Body with the Epsilon II platform that has been the basis for the Opel Insignia as well as a few Buick and Cadillac automobiles. The expected Impala body shape and long wheelbase (2,837 mm / 111.7 inches) remains intact with the wider rear fenders accentuated with a style line. All improvements have been made with visual impact as a top priority.

Chevrolet's new flagship vehicle, the new 2014 Chevrolet Impala sedan began rolling down Oshawa production lines yesterday. Arriving in showrooms later this month, the completely redesigned tenth generation of the sedan has a list price of only $28,445, only $145 more than it's predecessor. The newcomer is gifted with the latest version of Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system. For the first time at Chevrolet, natural voice recognition is offered through the entertainment system, which also features an 8 inch customizable colour screen. Several other features that are normally only found in more luxurious cars can be found in the 2014 Impala. It's adaptive cruise control automatically adjusts the distance between the car and the vehicle ahead if it is travelling slower than the speed set, averting possible rear end collisions.

Chevrolet has announced that the Camaro will bow out after the year 2024. To mark the occasion, a collector's edition will be offered.
