Porsche has never shied away from diversifying its range by offering multiple special editions. The German car maker is now expanding its 4-door sedan stable with its Panamera Platinum Edition.
Porsche has not stopped adding Panamera versions since the model first came out, witness the V6, GTS and the hybrid. Having recently unveiled the Sport Turismo Concept, which prefigured a station-wagon version of the Panamera, the German car maker is now releasing an exclusive, sumptuous, more elegant version: the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition. Porsche states that this version "is all about the very cool platinum metallic silver paint that accentuates its individual personality", not to mention its expanded standard features and exclusive details This special edition will be available only on V6-engine models, which come in a 3.6-litre 300 hp gasoline and a 3.0-litre 250 hp turbo diesel version.
Five finish colours are available (black, white, basalt black metallic, carbon grey metallic and mahogany metallic lacquer) and are characterized by platinum silver accents on the front spoiler, side-mirror housings, side air outlets and rear diffuser. High-gloss black is used for the side window strips. The standard package for this Panamera includes 19-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon dynamic lights, heated seats for all four passengers, parking assist and an 11-speaker Bose audio system. Inside, the cabin features a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 7-inch HD touch screen for the navigation system and a warning system. We should also mention its two-tone black/beige leatherwork, a 3-spoke sport steering wheel and metallic door sills inscribed "Platinum Edition".
Orders are already being taken for this Panamera Platinum Edition, with its rear-wheel drive version priced at $87,500 and the all-wheel-drive variant at $92,700.
