The reborn Bronco is a crucially important product for Ford, and for more than a year the company has dutifully been providing regular little tidbits of information about the return of this legendary nameplate to its roster.
And while much remains unknown about the SUV, we do have two new bits of info for you this week, courtesy of Ford itself. The automaker has revealed the Bronco’s new logo, and that it intends to launch the product in the spring of 2020.
To recap what we already know, the new Bronco will be a large, rugged SUV – that much we learned very early on. The model will also pay tribute to the original Bronco, which appeared in 1966, via rounded headlights and a square overall shape – as it happens, elements that Jeep never abandoned in its SUVs. There will also be both two- and four-door versions in the product offering, and those doors will be removable.
Ford has even confirmed it’s looking at producing a pickup, in the style of the Jeep Gladiator. That remains to be seen.
