Tesla delivered a record number of vehicles in the second quarter of 2019. Between April 1 and June 30 of this year, the California-based company shipped 95,200 units to customers.
Of the total, 17,650 were Model S and Model X vehicles. Which leaves the Model 3 to account for the great majority of Teslas sold – 77,500 units in all.
Tesla also set a company record in terms of actual production in Q2 of 2019, assembling 87,048 vehicles in all.
"Orders generated during the quarter exceeded our deliveries, thus we are entering Q3 with an increase in our order backlog. We believe we are well positioned to continue growing total production and deliveries in Q3."
